Lords of the Fallen II – Important Publishing Update! Independent developer CI Games today announced that it has signed a separation agreement with Epic Games Publishing. As a result, CI Games has regained full open distribution rights for the PC version of Lords of the Fallen II, moving away from the previous PC-exclusive publishing arrangement signed in June 2024. Lords of the Fallen II remains scheduled to launch later this year on PC via Epic Games Store and other PC storefronts, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. CI Games will self-publish the title across all platforms, while PLAION continues as the global physical distribution partner. CI Games will continue to utilise Epic’s technologies, including Unreal Engine 5 and Epic Online Services (EOS), powering cross-platform play, matchmaking, friends list, and seamless shared-progression co-op. Like many in the industry, CI Games faced challenging market conditions in 2023 and 2024, and Epic Games provided significant funding and strategic support that helped ensure Lords of the Fallen II could fully realise its ambitions. This partnership enabled CI Games to meaningfully expand upon community feedback from the original Lords of the Fallen, while substantially advancing the sequel across gameplay, technical performance, world design, and online functionality. “Epic was there for CI Games exactly when we needed them most. Their support and belief in the project made a real difference, and for that we are truly grateful,” said Marek Tymiński, CEO of CI Games. “Epic has been an outstanding supporter of Lords of the Fallen II. With Unreal Engine, EOS and the rest of Epic’s world-class technologies, we’re going to ship a performant game in a massive world that players can explore together across PC and console,” added Tymiński. With the new agreement now in place, Lords of the Fallen II will launch with open PC distribution on day one, including the Epic Games Store.

Lords of the Fallen is getting a brand new combat feature never before seen in a soulslike. It works across all enemies, including bosses. Feedback has been outstanding both internally and from players. We’re shaping this true sequel with everything we heard from you, all the feedback you gave (Steam reviews included), to make it a clear step up from the last one. Stay tuned.

Clad in leather, steel and unwavering faith, Dark Justiciars served as the enforcers of the Dark Crusaders’ divine judgement. They walked a disciplined path between duty and devotion, delivering three feet of steel to any that defied Orius’s will. Landing blows with the weight of a gavel, these battle maidens served as judge, jury, and executioner.

It was an absolute pleasure co-creating our 5 new female-focused armours alongside our art team and @BGroundNPC. Before gaming, I worked in women's fashion - fashion being another of my lifelong passions. I've always loved the dramatic, theatrical, dark romantic designs of Alexander McQueen, Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester, among others - a strong influence on these armour sets. We also wanted to capture the bold energy of 80s/90s fantasy - franchises such as Conan, Red Sonja, Excalibur - with their mystical, mist-shrouded sword-and-sorcery worlds. Can’t wait to see players wearing them in-game - alongside plenty of other armour options to suit every style.

Trelisi weapons were not always instruments of sacrifice. First forged to protect, over time they turned ever toward the flesh, finally splitting bodies asunder in the name of the Bloodbloom.

As time passed, the Trelisi’s worship of the Bloodbloom grew ever bloodier - toward victim and self alike. They bound themselves in iron and chain. Each link cutting far deeper than flesh alone.

Early reports from Lords 2 playtesting are genuinely encouraging. Nothing so far that we can’t fix. These reports make us hopeful we’re building something special.

At the heart of Thorngar stands the great Bloodbloom. The Trelisi nourished it with blood, offering life in ever-greater abundance, convinced such devotion would secure their future. They were wrong.
