Ladeside Primary ASC

The “Room of Gloom” is getting finally getting a make over. So glad these wonderful young people wanted to share the work load… we might be at it a while 😅🎨

It’s the most wonderful meal of the yeeeaaarrr 🎶 Turkey, Steak Pie and Macaroni for these lucky pupils this lunch time 😋🦃🍗

Yesterday, we were invited onto the canal by the wonderful Seagull Trust for a Santa Boat Cruise… with a visit from the main man himself!!! This was a very successful experience for our young people 🤩🎅🏻🛥️

Christmas has truly arrived in the Blue Room this year. On Monday R had so much fun decorating the room and C drew a picture for Santa 🎄🎅🏻

Wow, what a difference a week makes. So many achievements from our group, from H coming out of the bus to meet new friends, to the other H developing confidence to ride Hugo. It was cold but smiles all round 🤩🐎🥶

On Thursday, a group went Rock Climbing in Glasgow. We tried a bit of bouldering, followed by working in teams on the climbing wall. To finish off we had a go at the clip and climbs. Outstanding work everyone (once again huge thanks to @FalkirkOutdoors) 🧗🧗‍♀️🤩

Week one of Horse riding last week in the blue room. We enjoyed meeting the horses, giving them a good brush and trying some moves 🐎🐴

Hot chocolate is just what we needed on such a cold day.. marshmallows included of course ☕️😋

Drawing gigantic robots and castle floors plans (including a cinema and games room) in the frost today 🤖🥶

A super-busy fun-filled week in the Blue Room has included making truffles, exploring bath bombs, gigantic puzzles and a very special guest… 🤩

A super-fun day walking up Dumyat with @FalkirkOutdoors today. Can’t believe we walked nearly 5 MILES!!!! Great team work, resilience and determination from everyone in the group.. even when the clouds were so thick ⭐️🌳🥾🗻

Friday in the Blue room involved making chocolate apples, playing a game involving acting out emotion cards and some more utterly amazing animation ⭐️🍁🎃🐈‍⬛

A brilliant Thursday which included pumpkin carving, Dobble (I am terrible at this game!!), animation and PE in the gym hall. Just another fun-filled day in the Blue Room 🤩🎃📱

First day back in the Blue Room involved a look back at last term followed by jumping into gigantic piles of leaves 🍁🍂

C created a game in our outdoor area that involved throwing various balls into a tyre for points. This activity was so much fun and included counting in 10’s, coordination and turn taking 😁⭐️

Some funky gymnastics on display in the gym hall yesterday. We were so impressed by the creativeness and confidence our R and C 🤸

Conkers and climbing trees at Callender park this morning. We enjoyed exploring the autumnal woods and spotting squirrels 🌳🍁🐿️

Today I was lucky to accompany a group of pupils to Muiravonside for a day out outdoor learning with @FalkirkOutdoors. We began with some tough problem solving and team challenges, followed by fire lighting (with marshmallows of course) 🌳🔥😋

Today’s play thread was all about VR headsets. We showed super problem solving skills to design and create our own! Incredible!! 🎮🕹️

Cycling around and developing confidence. So proud of H having a go. C could pedal for hours 😅🚲
