When motion capture reports flag “arm late at foot-strike,” it’s easy to zoom in on the snapshot / the isolated data point and assume the solution is rooted in the arm itself. But is that really the cause? The arm’s position at FFS is not an isolated action. It’s the downstream effect of how the pelvis, torso, and spine have collectively sequenced to that point. In short: the arm is at the mercy of the body. @LantzWheeler

Fun Fact: Which position in sports faces the highest odds of needing a major reconstructive surgery? MLB Pitcher. The injury rate per athlete for major reconstructive surgery is greater than that of a bull rider or an NFL running back.

VIDEO ANALYSIS The arm is attached to the core and has no choice but to react and respond to earlier movements. Drills like Roll Ins & Pivot Picks make the problem worse because they square the hips body moves out of sequence. Data-Driven Dyslexia in full effect.
