This is Amy Crawford’s reality! She has a potentially life-threatening latex allergy. She’s a school teacher so anything from pencil erasers to gloves or even tennis balls can pose a danger. She’s fundraising to get a service dog that detects latex! I’ll have her story at 10!

Around half of people with latex allergy have allergic reactions when eating particular foods including #avocado, banana, chestnut, kiwifruit, passionfruit, and plum. This is because some of the proteins in latex that cause latex allergy are also present in these fruits.

@cocropoker @Son_ImSleep Latex allergy is very common in healthcare workers. We are at an increased risk of developing a latex allergy due to continual exposure so it’s a 99% chance she was being honest. It’s so common hospitals and healthcare facilities did away with latex gloves & materials years ago
