A significant day for healthcare education in Ireland. Great to open the new €95m RCSI facility on St Stephen’s Green with Minister @lawlessj. This space will support 3,000 students and staff, advancing high-impact research and engaging the public on health and well-being.

Last year, we promised an update on the Culture Card for young people, and here it is! The plan is simple: every 18-year-old in Ireland will receive a card preloaded with €100 to spend on live sporting or cultural events. We’re opening the doors for a new generation.

Australian Embassy Ireland 🇦🇺
This week, Ambassador Taylor took the opportunity to wish Minister James Lawless (@lawlessj) all the best for his upcoming travel to Australia to meet with Australia’s vibrant Irish communities in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and with Australian leaders in research, innovation, and higher education. Australia and Ireland recognise that a strong education system and well supported research and development underpin economic growth. As we celebrate 80 years of diplomatic relations in 2026, we also celebrate ever closer engagement on renewable energy, digital innovation and the biosciences – areas in which Australia and Ireland can make a real difference. Together.
