@joebonthuys @BenjaminTurner7 Mate it’s not that deep. It was just an idea for specific games where that block of tickets could actually help people out. It hurts nobody and there’s no agenda behind it. Just an opinion.

Its a matter of fact mate. I’ve sat with people for years who are in different SCs and have not got a single point on their own ST. That alone shows there is point hoarding going on.

@LeeBeeSW Your logic is wrong. An SC member with their own ST going to Soton, would gain their own point, as the SC would use that membership. Nothing to do with anyone else.

@BenjaminTurner7 @LeeBeeSW So you was happy to ‘exploit’ the system going to games you weren’t eligible to goto& failed to buy tickets on your own membership when you were able to & are now complaining you cant get tickets because you have no credits. surely ur part of the problem going when you shouldn’t?

I dunno why people keep banging on about supporters clubs when they’re only part of that 1500 for Southampton. My point is... For early round CC, FA and CL when we get 4300 plus. The club should just put the whole lot on sale at point of sale. Who is it inconveniencing???

@LeeBeeSW It’s pretty simple. The reason it was so many this time was because it was a big allocation. So starting credits was a lot lower than it would be for a small allocation. So more people eligible. See where I’m going with this? They’re not getting anything anyone else cant get.

Open to all’… except the chunk already preallocated before most STH even get a look in. That is the issue. We do not get over 4300 every week, so what is your issue with giving that 1500 block to people for the rare games that struggle to sell, like Southampton.

Held back’, ‘allocated’… amazing how much energy goes into defending the wording instead of the issue. For the one game a season with 4,300 midweek or one train home, those seats should be open to all STs. That’s the whole point

@LeeBeeSW The SC section are not ‘held back’ for the SC, they’re allocated to them using memberships that meet the criteria for booking windows published at time of sale. Ie if they weren’t the membership holder is likely to log in and buy the ticket themselves.

I’m talking about the whole block of tickets, not just the SC allocation. When an overall allocation is anything above 4300 in early rounds of the CC, FA or CL, there should be a clear reason for holding back a chunk, especially when this only happens once or twice a season.

@LeeBeeSW The number of tkts for SC is a small %. Every club doesn’t get hundreds of tkts no matter what people think and they is a high % of that number given to said SC that go to fans who have been going for years

If 1500 tickets are not available at the point of sale then they are being held back. It really is that simple. You can call it an allocation if you want, but if fans cannot buy them when the window opens, they are not in the pot.

Yes. That reserved block of 1500 should have been released. There are only 2 fixtures so far this season where holding anything back cannot be justified and this is one of them. Use common sense, games like this don't need to have that number held back

@LeeBeeSW All I would hope for is some transparency of how they are split and an explanation of why club chose certain groups. I understand why the club gave more to European Supporters Clubs when we played in Milan but this one is harder to fathom- although I don’t know the split.

@afcjd_ @joebonthuys @amanskhela Agree and disagree. When the allocation is over 4000 and everyone knows there are loads of tickets, people don’t mind missing out. It’s not worth risking a point reduction for an unscanned ticket and it’s not worth the drama.

For games like this, in person collections aren’t helping anyone. Loyalty comes from putting the yards in. And believe me, you’re still not getting the big games through collections. You need to use that passport mate.

In games that are hard to reach it makes no sense holding back around 1500 tickets. Those should go to the STs trying to build. I even had a mate that could have used his silver for his son

Annoys me when mates who lived off SCs for years ask me for tickets. They should have more points from when we were paying £50+ and they didn’t use their ST. But 1400 odd tickets going like that… come on now. x.com/zw_afc/status/…
