@ardeepthips I have 2 possible logical reasons 1. Many cafés think water drinkers are freeloaders & mocha covers the cleaning cost of the glass 2. More cups of "free" water get served so, a higher chance of glass breaking. Leading to loss. Personally, I like when they give steel tumblers :)

Cafes serve you water in cheap plastic glasses and mochas in nice glasses with straw, cream and chocolate sprinkles. 🫤

And as we sway along the bumpy bangalore roads, the bus comes to a screeching halt at her stop. She gets up, a waterfall of chilkas fall from between the pleats of her saree trailing as she leaves the bus. The chilkas still have a long way ahead.

It feels as if the bus is a snow globe ❄️. But instead of snow, it is flakes of peanut skin and instead of a monument, it is the sweaty and sleepy humans. The tired contours of thier faces highlighted by the lights from their phones.
