My favorite part of this type of activism is their claims that everything from the region is not just Middle Eastern, but specifically Palestinian. Hummus & shawarma? Historical figures? Folk dances? All Palestinian. Like, what have the other Arabs been doing this whole time?

A Mizrahi restaurant in Dublin targeted for ‘appropriating Palestinian food’ is a direct consequence of Irish media refusing to acknowledge the existence of-let alone publish stories about-Mizrahi Jews and their ethnic cleansing from the Arab world. I think it’s intentional.

A pro-Palestinian TikTok creator saw a Jewish girl talking about bagels and went to investigate, who invented it, on Wikipedia. He has confidently concluded in the end that Jews stole it from Palestinians. Yes, bagels are ancient Palestinian baked goods too

Time and again, people tell me that they don’t want Netanyahu to remain prime minister.
According to a new Channel 12 poll, a majority of Israelis don’t want him to win the next election either.
But let’s be clear about something.
Even if someone else becomes prime minister tomorrow, it will not change how the world feels about Israel.
Before Netanyahu, Israel was accused of colonialism, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, genocide, and every other imaginable evil. After Netanyahu, it will be accused of the same things.
They don’t oppose a particular Israeli government. They oppose the existence of a Jewish state.

Honestly, at this point much of the left is only marginally more reality-based than MAGA.
