Those 58% of those 12.8 million green card holders on at least one welfare program (section 8, WIC, SNAP, Medicaid,etc.) are being re-vetted and denied benefits. The requirement was that when applying for a green card, the person/relative filling out the application needed to prove income verification that he/she could support the person that they were applying for, and had to be verified/certified because relying on gov assistance of any type was illegal. Trump is re-instating it. Biden didn’t follow the law.

@SaltyGoat17 @TS4440 Biden changed it. This was always the rule. When I became a green card holder I had to sign to the requirement I would never access any social programs & I would be financially independent. Trump is returning it back to the original law.

@SaltyGoat17 I would go so far as to say that anyone who holds a green card within the last four years and is on public assistance, they need to have the green cards removed. You didn’t come to this country to steal from the taxpayers.
