Again some new functionality in LitterApp.net: Sharing a photo with somebody! Instead of creating a screenshot of a photo, you can now use the 'Share'-option. For instance a link to the cassette-tape that i found: litterapp.net/s/6a43c290-d88… As usual: Feedback welcome.

Thanks to the feedback of one of our users, we fixed a bug! He was wondering what the reason was for having 3600 butts in 7 days, and only 558 times material=cellulose. 1 reason: few butts without material, main reason: photos with more than 1 butt, we counted wrong. Now Fixed!

New Feature to keep you informed! We now have announcements. We already had 'Latest News', but this new way is faster and easier. Whenever we have something that needs to be told to our users, we show them on the homepage. We show 3, older ones can be viewed as well. See link.

#WeeklyImpact-time! Another great week, Lots of butts removed from nature, McDonalds number 1 brand, mostly plastic found. We tagged 99,7% of our pictures, we found litter in 2 new countries and we are reaching 800 days in a row without a zero-day! Keep up the good work!

Well done all, participants in the April-Treasurehunt, not 1 but 2 pickers managed to find all items. Every player is a winner though, for making a difference! Today we will try to set up the new hunt, Sneak preview: butt, 'force', sock, coin, dice, button, pencil, glasses,...

And that was April, ready to start May! #MonthlyImpact-time: more than 15.000 pictures, 30.000+ items, 43.000+ tags given to those items! We now have 406.000 photos in our database and 543.000+ items which have 872.000+ tags. 99.6% of our photos is tagged. 793 days in a row!

Every day our users and we ourselves find litter and occasionally also new brands. If we find any, or when users ask us, we add the new brand so it can be used via the choice list. At this moment we have 5999 brand names that have been used already!

A lot is going on in the Netherlands, which we welcome and support! #NoPlasticFilter

One of our #LitterApp.net-users, Peter Dubbeldam, cleaned 2 kilometers of the Dutch Rotterdam Marathon parcours, a couple of days after the event and after the parcours was cleaned by the organisation... I'm sure they removed a lot of rubbish, but 'clean'? 2km, 1878 items.

Almost 400.000 pictures have been uploaded to litterapp.net, and those pictures contain 525.000+ items. Our users do not just pick up litter, they create data about the litter as well. Almost 850.000 litter facts like brand & material etc. We love this community! #proud
