In his 2026 annual shareholder letter, Jamie Dimon identified tokenization as one of the forces redefining competition in financial services. “A whole new set of competitors is emerging based on blockchain, which includes stablecoins, smart contracts and other forms of tokenization.” JPMorgan Chase generated $185 billion in revenue last year and moves nearly $12 trillion daily.
