Food Should Be Free 🍞🍲 Former 2022 groundBREAKER Portia Klaseen shared something many young people in South Africa think about every day — what if food was free? Too many people in our communities go to bed hungry. With the rising cost of living and food prices increasing, many families are struggling to put a meal on the table. For unemployed youth, the pressure is even heavier — not only trying to survive but also wanting to support their families. Freedom should mean more than just rights on paper. It should also mean the freedom to live without hunger. 💬 What do you think — should access to food be treated as a basic right in our country? Join the conversation this Freedom Month and tell us: If one thing could be free in South Africa, what would you choose and why? #FreedomMonth #loveLifeZA #PLZCALME0833231023 #WhatsApp0600179672 ✊🏽

April is Health Awareness Month in South Africa, reminding us of the importance of prioritising our physical and mental wellbeing — especially among young people in communities like Blouberg Local Municipality. 📊 Did you know? 🔹 1 in 7 adolescents (10–19) lives with a mental disorder. 🔹 Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among people aged 15–29. 🔹 Substance use continues to create serious health and social challenges for individuals, families, and communities. Let’s continue to break the stigma, talk openly about mental health, and support young people in our communities. linkedin.com/pulse/april-he…

[Incase You Missed It] As we recently marked World Health Day, an exciting milestone in HIV prevention was also announced. The first batch of Lenacapavir has officially arrived in South Africa — a major step forward in expanding HIV prevention options. Speaking to SABC News, the Minister of Health, Aaron Motsoaledi, shared that the official launch will be led by the President of South Africa. On the day of the launch, Lenacapavir will become available at 350 selected health facilities across the country. This breakthrough represents hope, innovation, and another powerful tool in the fight against HIV — especially for young people and communities most affected. Health is freedom, and access to prevention is power. 📷 What are your thoughts on South Africa introducing new HIV prevention options like Lenacapavir? #loveLifeZA #PLZCALME0833231023 #WhatsApp0600179672

Did You Know? One of the freedoms young people have today is the right to know their HIV status through free testing services across South Africa. Testing helps you: 1. Take control of your health 2. Protect your partners 3. Access treatment early if needed Freedom means making informed choices about your life and your health. What would encourage more young people to test and know their status? #loveLifeZA #PLZCALME0833231023 #WhatsApp0600179672

The journey may be ending, but the impact will live on. 💚✨ Our outgoing groundBREAKERS from Limpopo shared heartfelt reflections about what the programme has meant to them — from the friendships built, the lessons learned, to the lives they’ve touched in their communities. Their passion, commitment, and energy have truly made a difference. We are so sad to see them go, but incredibly proud of the journey they’ve taken with us. It has been an amazing experience working alongside such dedicated young leaders. Thank you for the memories, the hard work, and the positive change you’ve brought to your communities. We wish you nothing but success in your future endeavours — go out there and continue to lead, inspire, and make an impact! 🌍🙌 Once a groundBREAKER, always a groundBREAKER. 💚 #loveLifeZA #PLZCALME0833231023 #WhatsApp0600179672

TB is preventable. TB is curable. The key is to test early and complete your treatment. When TB is detected early and medication is taken correctly until the end, recovery is possible and the spread of TB can be stopped. Take charge of your health — know your status, get tested, and stay on treatment. Together we can end TB. #WorldTBDay #EndTB #loveLifeZA

Happy International Womxn’s Day 📷 Today we stand in solidarity with womxn and girls across the world as we honour their strength, resilience and undeniable impact in every space they occupy. The 2026 theme, “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls,” reminds us that empowerment is not just a conversation — it is a commitment. A commitment to protect rights. A commitment to fight for justice. And most importantly, a commitment to take action. In South Africa 📷, this theme speaks directly to us. While we celebrate the progress made since 1956, many womxn and girls in our country still face challenges such as gender-based violence, economic inequality, limited access to healthcare, and unequal opportunities. Rights must move beyond policy. Justice must move beyond promises. Action must move beyond words. Today we honour the womxn who lead, who nurture, who build, who resist, who innovate, and who refuse to be silenced. We honour the young girls who dare to dream beyond the limits placed before them. Let this be more than a celebration — let it be a call to action. How are you choosing to stand up for the rights and justice of womxn and girls in your community?📷 #InternationalWomensDay

Did You Know, Bafethu? Pulling out (withdrawal method) is not a reliable way to prevent pregnancy. Pre-ejaculation fluid can still contain sperm, meaning pregnancy can still happen. Play it safe — use protection every time. #loveLifeZA
