My sweet, beautiful, and intelligent dog Lucy is gone 💔🐾Something caused Lucy to have a pulmonary aneurysm and that’s why she declined so suddenly this morning. The Vet said there was nothing I could have done for her even though I tried my best.
Pulmonary aneurysms are just as fatal and sudden in dogs as they are in humans. My heart is incredibly heavy. I was so hopeful she’d be ok after the antibiotics and medications she received on Monday at the vet. There were signs of improvement and healing until this morning. She was doing so much better even at 6:15am when I first let her and Cash out but then started declining rapidly after 9am.
Poor Lucy girl😢 The house is now empty without her.
Cash will be looking for her again soon. I’ve told him our Lucy wasn’t coming home while hugging him in my lap. They’ve been constant companions for 7 years. A piece of me is now gone too. Lucy really was the best dog. I’ll love and miss her forever now😔💔🐾

My dog, Lucy, stopped breathing on me. She was showing signs of improvement yesterday and early this morning then after 8am she started declining rapidly. Lucy is at the vet. I spent over an hour trying to keep her breathing. I’m not sure what happened to the poor girl. She’s 13 and never once in the 11 years we’ve had her has she ever been seriously sick. Lucy was always the healthy one. She was still playing with her toys a week ago. Everything happened so suddenly. Dogs are gifts from heaven. They become part of the family. It’s never easy to have one be sick or lose one so suddenly. I don’t know what to do without her. I honestly thought she’d live a few more years because she was in good health. Not sure what Cash knows what to do. Lucy was his companion..
