As our Jewish brothers and sisters observe Yom HaShoah, we honor the memory of the millions murdered in the Holocaust. May this day renew our commitment to confront antisemitism, bigotry in every form, and hatred that denies our shared humanity.

On this Day of Remembrance for Victims of Lynching in Virginia, we remember those whose lives were taken unjustly and whose stories were silenced. May we honor memory by confronting truth, preserving their stories and continuing work toward justice, dignity, and equality for all.

Last night’s kickoff for Senator Mark Warner’s reelection was energized and exciting—serious, capable leadership matters more than ever. Virginians know our Commonwealth must lead, and we’re fortunate to have dedicated public servants like Senator Warner.

This is about more than one election cycle. It’s about whether we preserve a system that is fair, representative and responsive, & that gives every community a meaningful voice and every individual a genuine opportunity. That is why I voted YES, & why I hope Virginians will too.

First Lady Melania Trump suggested that AI robots could replace teachers. As a former educator, I know students need encouragement & learn best when they feel seen & supported. AI robots cannot replace that. In Virginia, we value our teachers & we invest in our students.

With the start of April, we celebrate Community College Month, an opportunity to recognize the students, faculty, & staff of Virginia’s 23 amazing institutions. Community colleges open doors, fuel innovation, & strengthen our workforce across the Commonwealth.

Today we honor Transgender Day of Visibility by celebrating the strength and resilience of transgender communities. We also renew our commitment to the ongoing work of protecting rights and advancing equality for all.

On Saturday, I joined Virginians at the No Kings Protestival to affirm a principle at the core of our democracy: no one stands above the law. It was an honor to stand alongside those committed to preserving a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Yesterday’s canvass for the redistricting referendum highlighted an enduring truth: democratic strength is cultivated through dialogue, engagement, & commitment to the common good. I am grateful to have stood with volunteers carrying this work forward. Vote YES through April 21.

Reproductive freedom in Virginia has been safeguarded by Democratic leadership, but Trump’s Congress & SCOTUS are working overtime to roll back our rights. This November, abortion access is on the ballot. Virginians must make their voices heard to protect these freedoms.
