I have never claimed to be a theologian but I do have two degrees in theology and have been a priest for 17 years. NOWHERE in the bible or in any serious theology I have ever read are Christians told that we should start wars to hasten the return of Jesus. This is a perversion of our faith.

People with tourette's are twice as likely to be violently assaulted than the general public. women with TS are 4 times more likely to be targeted by sexual violence. 1 in 4 of us try to kill ourselves. over half self harm. The stereotype that we are secretly evil people who use Tourette's to get away with being an asshole is literally life threatening to us. So fuck SNL. I'm tired of spending my life begging for understanding. I have to rely on public attiutudes just to have basic rights. Just to leave the house, to use a bus, to eat at a restaurant, to go to work, use a public restroom, ANYTHING. People are calling for us to be segregated! I spend 8 years teaching millions of people about this only to still feel like we are at square one.

It's been a long time since I have seen this clip of me from back when I was 8 and I won't lie watching it back is still distressing to this day. If I could go back I would tell myself, don't worry it will get better. I hope though the clips resurfacing from the documentaries myself and John appeared in will help spread more awareness and education on Tourettes and help bridge the gap in understanding that it's obvious there still is.

This is how Tourette's can impact the people who live with it. I'm sure demanding that they issue relentless apologies for their tics would be a massive help, right?

We have to remember who's really downtrodden here guys - it's not the man with a life-long chronic disability that has made him feel ashamed for decades baring his soul, it's two rich Hollywood actors who live in luxury we couldn't possibly comprehend

Imagine if a few days after discovering the slaughter of Auschwitz a dodgy businessman associated with the son-in-law of the US President addressed a meeting convened by the President to discuss building a pleasure resort on top of Auschwitz. That’s how repulsive & amoral this latest Trump money-making con is!

🔴 A low-profile Israeli-Cypriot real estate billionaire began sketching Gaza’s future within days of Oct. 7. At the inaugural Board of Peace meeting in Washington on Feb. 19, 2026, Yakir Gabay laid out a 10-year plan to turn Gaza into a “Mediterranean Riviera” with 200 hotels and possibly artificial islands. The proposal also includes schools, hospitals, factories, agriculture, rail lines, water and energy plants, tech hubs, sports facilities, plus a seaport and airport. He cited the need to clear 70 million tons of rubble and miles of tunnels, projecting “hundreds of thousands of jobs” under a “free economy” model backed by a Gaza sovereign fund. All development, he said, depends on the complete disarmament of Hamas. The Jerusalem Post has reported that within days of the Oct. 7 attacks, Gabay began drafting the reconstruction plan that now underpins the U.S. Board of Peace framework. Trump appointed him to the body on Jan. 17. Gabay, 59, is known for close ties to Jared Kushner, Israeli media reported, and is the son of former Justice Ministry Director-General Meir Gabay. He previously led Bank Leumi’s underwriting arm and worked at the Israel Securities Authority. Later, he founded Aroundtown SA, a Frankfurt-listed real estate giant with a roughly $30 billion portfolio where he is currently Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Board. His net worth is estimated at $4.1 billion, and he splits his time between Cyprus and London. Here are his remarks today:

Jeffrey Epstein was employed by Israel’s secret service Mossad, according to claims in the latest tranche of documents related to the late sex offender released by the US Department of Justice. The latest files include an FBI report from the Los Angeles field office in 2020 which details that a confidential informant had become “convinced that Epstein was a co-opted Mossad agent”. The report said Epstein had been “trained as a spy” for Mossad and alleged that Epstein had ties to US and allied intelligence operations via his personal lawyer Alan Dershowitz. FBI documents show that Epstein funded organisations linked to the Israeli military, including financing the group Friends of Israel Defense Forces, which “raises funds for active duty Israel Defense Forces soldiers and veterans”, and the Jewish National Fund (JNF). The JNF is a charity that supports and finances Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank. These settlements are illegal under international law. The JNF’s UK branch lists former UK prime minister Tony Blair as an honorary patron. Speculation about Epstein’s ties to the Israeli state and intelligence agencies has partly been fuelled by his close friendship with Ehud Barak, the former Israeli prime minister. Barak maintained a relationship with Epstein long after his first arrest for child sex offences, which Barak has said he regrets. On Friday 6 February, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the claims on on X, writing: “Jeffrey Epstein’s unusual close relationship with Ehud Barak doesn’t suggest Epstein worked for Israel. It proves the opposite.” Epstein also helped to broker a security cooperation agreement between the governments of Israel and Mongolia, and between Israel and Côte d’Ivoire, according to leaked emails from Barak revealed in a number of 2025 investigations by Drop Site News. Barak’s correspondence also suggests that Epstein facilitated efforts to open a backchannel between Israel and the Kremlin during the Syrian civil war.

You'll want to be sitting down for this bit. Water companies are currently £82.7 billion in debt, have paid themselves £85 billion in dividends, leak over a trillion of litres of water per year, dump sewage for almost 4 million hours per year, have been convicted of over 1,200 criminal acts since 1989 and an average of 35% of your bill goes on nothing but paying more interest and yet more dividends. And not a single company has ever lost their operating licence. 👇

Yorkshire Water and Northumbrian Water have nearly 200 criminal convictions between them. On 6 August 2024, Ofwat fined them £47m and £17m for sewage dumping. Fines not paid, will not be paid. Firms claim to have invested. No penalty for abusing laws leftfootforward.org/2026/01/public…

My coworker is 67. He drags himself into the office every day, pale and exhausted. He has Stage 3 cancer. He wants to retire. He needs to rest. But he can't. If he retires, he loses the company’s "Gold Tier" health insurance, and Medicare won't cover the experimental treatment that is actually shrinking his tumor. He is literally working to stay alive. He naps in his car during lunch just to get through the afternoon. Productivity shouldn't be the price of survival.

The Roma people were murdered on such a scale during the Holocaust that there was practically no one left after the war to set up educational trusts and museums in their memory and it is the moral responsibility of surviving groups to remember them now. This is beyond shameful.

Yanis Varoufakis
Yanis Varoufakis@yanisvaroufakis·
Hello, this is Yanis Varoufakis with a piece of news that would have been hilarious if it weren’t so scary. This morning, two policemen appeared on my doorstep to serve a summons ordering me to the police headquarters to be interrogated by the Greek DEA, our drug busting police department. Not as a witness, expert or not, but as the accused. Accused of what? Shortly after New Year’s, I appeared on a podcast organised by young people to answer their questions on everything that concerns Gen Z today: social media, the meaning of life, their job prospects, what I call technofeudalism etc. At some point, they asked me if I had ever used drugs. Determined not to do a Bill Clinton (remember the laughable “I didn’t inhale”?), I said I had. Apart from pot, I told them, I had one experience of taking ecstasy in Sydney 36 years ago. It was pleasant, I danced for 16 hours effortlessly but then, I added, it gave me a migraine for a week – and so I never used again. That was my introduction to making the point that, however pleasant drug taking may seem, there is a price to pay. And that the ultimate price is dependence, addiction – “the end of liberty”, I said emphatically. Do you see where this is going? Yes, the Greek police have opened an investigation of me under the charge of... aiding and abetting the narco-mafia. [Do me a favour folks: Please don’t tell Trump, OK?] Seriously now, at a time of war, genocide, stupendous exploitation and so on, my little trouble with the inane Greek police is neither here nor there. But it is important. Here, in Europe, many people still live under the illusion that we have liberty, rationality and freedom. We don’t. Dark forces are at work, pushing us into a postmodern version of the Dark Ages. So, beware, people! They are out to take away the last remnants of autonomy and freedom we have left. Resistance is, literally, existence.

So embarrassing. Immigration has fallen sharply and even Americans are openly shocked at how gullible the British public are. Cringe doesn’t even cover it. We urgently need a serious conversation about why small boat numbers are shoved down our throats every single day like it’s the only thing happening in the country. News services, especially publicly funded ones like the BBC, should never be agenda setters. They have a duty to licence payers to report facts, not amplify fear, not drip-feed panic, not distort reality through repetition. If people are angry, ask who keeps winding them up.
