WILDLAND TRAINING: At Golder Ranch Fire District, all our #firefighters complete wildland #training to ensure every crew is equipped with the skills and knowledge to respond safely and effectively. Led by our expert wildland team, this essential training also includes teaching our firefighters how and when to deploy their personal fire shelters, as well as recognizing when it’s safe to exit the shelter during high-risk situations. By providing these vital skills to everyone, we prioritize the safety of our residents and our team in the face of danger.

The Town of Oro Valley and the Golder Ranch Fire District (GRFD) are joining forces to ensure residents are informed and prepared when it comes to #fire #safety. As wildfires remain a concern in the western United States, Oro Valley and Golder Ranch Fire are proactively addressing fire prevention efforts. You're invited to attend the upcoming Wildfire Safety Community Q&A: When: Friday, March 14, 2025, 3 to 5 p.m. Where: Oro Valley Town Hall Council Chambers, 11000 N. La Cañada Drive Virtual option: If you can’t make the live event, it’ll be live streamed and available on-demand afterward on the Town’s website. We will be sharing essential wildfire safety tips, discuss home protection strategies, and provide valuable resources to help residents stay prepared. Community members will also have the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with subject matter experts from both GRFD and the Town.

One of our biggest milestones of the year: Golder Ranch Fire District achieved a perfect score in the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) reaccreditation process. 🚑🌟 This multi-step process ensures that our emergency medical services continue to meet the highest standards for patient care and operational excellence. A perfect score through CAAS accreditation is the gold standard in the ambulance industry, and we couldn’t be prouder of our team for making this possible. #emergency #care

After recent monsoon storms, we’re updating our heat safety signage at Catalina State Park to keep you informed. The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for our area this week, with temperatures remaining dangerously high even in September. Please take extra precautions in the heat and limit outdoor activities. Your well-being is our priority—stay #cool and #safe! 🔴Extreme Conditions: When temperatures soar between 95-110°F, the risk of heat-related emergencies increases. It’s crucial to limit outdoor activities, stay hydrated, and seek air-conditioned spaces to prevent heat exhaustion or heatstroke.

🚁Recently, at our training grounds, we had the opportunity to work with Air Evac 8 for an invaluable session on neonatal resuscitation. A huge thank you to their team for providing this critical training. Neonatal resuscitation is crucial because it equips us with the skills to effectively respond to newborn emergencies. Quick and precise intervention can make a life-saving difference for infants experiencing respiratory or cardiac issues at birth. #Emergency #care
