@Advaidism The US - NATO sanctions were mostly due to the ‘98 nuclear tests. And yeah, historically, western countries have only tried to impede and stall our space program. In a way, it forced ISRO to build our own cryogenic engines, the GSLV and INSAT

The American - NATO sanctions on ISRO is something that the Indian media never talks about.

34 years ago, in 1989, ISRO approached USSR (Glavkosmos) for 07 cryogenic engines and also for a complete transfer of technology. USA blocked the move and NATO backed it. ISRO was then placed under US sanctions from 1992 to 1994. #Chandrayan3 is a huge leap in space technology.

@vridianmusic Yeah I never had those but had rollerblades. Those also were a nightmare in India. I had long board in Australia, learnt nicely then had a really fantastic fall down a hill they called 'devils backbone' on campus and tumbled past 3 study libraries. Meme material.

Disappointed that 300+ human/digital rights defenders from 64 countries, including our Exec Director @anne_ikiara from Kenya, won’t be able to attend #RightsCon in-person in Costa Rica next week due to visa issues for global south countries.

@sashib I’m really glad you pursued acting Sashi, it really inspired me as a teenager watching you on the screen to know I can dream big too! We don’t have many of these stories in our families, mad respect bro!

Years ago, I left Engineering to pursue my “dream” to become an Actor. I had 0 experience, 0 connections, had no idea what I was doing. 2yrs later, I had over 12 TV & Commercial credits, was part of SAG, and earned over $40k. Then I left & went back to Engineering. Why did I leave? Mainly because I now had a family, I still liked engineering, and I needed to earn more. But, I also left because I realized I would have to grind it out for 10yrs as an actor to earn reliable income, and the chances of me “making it” weren’t very high. I didn’t go in thinking I would become some superstar, but deep down I was probably aspiring to. It was very similar to doing a startup and aspiring for a big exit and then having to shut down because you ran out of funds. But what I did learn was that anyone can do anything they want, even if they have no experience in it, just have to start and figure things out. I also learned that you really have to do things for the sake of it. The act of trying, taking action and sticking with it, is success, regardless of what final expectation you might have had going in. At least this is what I tell myself 😀 I haven’t completely given up on Acting and might try again, but that experience was amazing and very memorable!🕴️m.imdb.com/name/nm2869655/

@thefeyfeline Yeah! And I’m honestly more worried about companies and studios with good budgets choosing to use AI instead of working with artists. For example, singer/songwriters will have a really hard time if studios choose to use AI generated vocals. Same goes for graphic art and mv

Generative AI can be transformative in storytelling. What I really want to do is create a comic strip or an illustrative story using MidJourney. The issue rn is there is no continuity in characters or setting. If there is an app currently able to achieve this, please comment.

@thefeyfeline I’d prefer to colab with an artist on a visual novel, and I’ve actually been trying to do this for sometime now. But I like the idea of using AI to experiment with ideas because it’s quicker and you can try out many styles (the ethics are in question 💯)

@Malfnktion I appreciate your creativity but all AI is trained off human artists' works without their consent. Rather than using AI, it would be more ethical to collab with an actual artist for this vision. I'd love to see a visual novel featuring your music & storytelling with great art!

For example, if I was to use generative AI to create a superhero using a prompt and then use further prompts like ‘saves a family from a burning building’ then ‘goes on a date with a werewolf’, those images now form a timeline of events which are a part of a larger narrative.

I have zero understanding of how generative AI works but if I create an image on MJ, it should be fairly easy to tell MJ to create more images with the same characters. This way, we can build entire storylines instead of just images.
