The Miami Marlins today acquired Minor League RHP Logan Whitaker from Minnesota in exchange for RHP Garrett Acton. Whitaker, 25, went 4-0 with a 2.11 ERA (9 ER/38.1 IP), 36 hits (1 home run), 10 walks, and 33 strikeouts in 25 relief appearances between High-A Cedar Rapids and Double-A Wichita in his second season in the Twins' organization. The North Carolina State product was originally selected by Minnesota in the 19th round (578th overall) of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft.
