Congratulations to Smithfield High Culinary Arts teachers, Chefs Scott Horne and Nic Hagen, for receiving the Empower Isle Award for “providing others with the strength and confidence to take action.” Thank you for your contributions to the Culinary Arts students and program.

IWCS Culinary Arts prepared 100 Thanksgiving Meals for families in need in our community. Each meal box included ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potato casserole, collards, green beans, stuffing, sweet potato biscuits, apple & pecan pies, all prepared by the students.
