Partnership is where it starts. In Mississippi, power providers are at the table from day one. That early alignment helps accelerate speed to market and reduce risk before a project moves forward. The state works closely with @EntergyMS, @MS_Power, @TVAnews and local utilities to evaluate load requirements, align infrastructure and confirm capacity early in the process. That approach is why some of the nation’s most energy-intensive projects are choosing Mississippi. AWS Central Mississippi Data Center is supported by Entergy Mississippi’s strong grid and long-term planning. Compass Datacenters in East Mississippi is supported by Mississippi Power to meet large-scale industrial demand. Aluminum Dynamics in the Golden Triangle is supported by TVA through new transmission infrastructure built for high-capacity operations. When energy availability, reliability and scalability matter, Mississippi is ready to deliver. Learn more about how Mississippi supports large-scale projects at mississippi.org.

You might not think about it every day, but it is all around you. Did you know Mississippi is home to more than 19 million acres of timberland? Forestry is part of how this state works. It supports communities, creates jobs and keeps industries moving in ways that often go unnoticed. Across Mississippi, more than 1,160 forestry-related companies are at work, supporting over 30,500 jobs. That work adds up. The industry generates more than $3.66 billion each year, reaching into construction, manufacturing and markets far beyond the state. There is also a steady pipeline behind it. Training programs and research continue to prepare the people who will carry this industry forward. Forestry in Mississippi is not just part of the landscape. It is part of what keeps the state moving. Learn more about Mississippi’s forestry industry: mississippi.org/forestry/

The Mississippi River has powered commerce for centuries. Today, Vicksburg is leading its next chapter. According to the March 2026 issue of Site Selection Magazine, Vicksburg ranks No. 1 in projects per capita among communities along the entire Mississippi River corridor. That distinction reflects real momentum. Over the past 18 months, the Vicksburg region has announced more than $4.6 billion in capital investment, along with 400 permanent jobs and more than 4,000 construction jobs expected over the next several years. For a city rooted in river commerce and industry, this recognition signals something bigger. Vicksburg continues to prove that when a community aligns its leadership, workforce and economic vision, major investment follows. Local leaders credit the progress to a strong partnership between public officials, private industry, educators and economic development professionals. Together they are strengthening port infrastructure, expanding industrial assets and creating opportunities that position Vicksburg for long-term success. Communities along the Mississippi River have long powered American commerce. Right now, Vicksburg is leading the way.

Site selectors looking at Mississippi today will see a very different map than they would have a decade ago. Since 2017, the Mississippi Development Authority has committed more than $125 million through the Site Development Grant Program to strengthen industrial sites across the state. In 2024 alone, nearly $30 million was awarded through Ready, Premier and Select Site funding, with additional local matching investments multiplying the impact. The results are measurable. Sites in 47 counties have benefited from improvements ranging from due diligence and environmental work to major infrastructure upgrades and megasite development. Communities that once struggled to compete are now submitting more RFIs, receiving more site visits and making shortlists that previously would have eliminated them early in the process. Major projects, including hyperscale data centers and advanced logistics facilities, are landing on sites that were strengthened through this program. Mississippi is not waiting for opportunity. It is preparing for it. Read the full article here: siteselection.com/megasites-how-…
