FINAL | K-State 75, Cal 83 The Wildcats' season ends in the second round of the WBIT. They just came alive too late and ran out of time. K-State showed great fight, like they have all season, and there are big things ahead if this team can stay together.

After a 15-1 run by K-State, they've made things marginally interesting here, down 11 with 51.9 to play. I don't think there's enough time to make a full comeback, but they're not going out without a fight.

Things are getting bleak here late in the third quarter. The Wildcats have gone ice cold from 3 and Cal has opened up a 13-point lead. Unless something major changes, it's not looking good for K-State.

After not playing at all in the final 3 games of the Big 12 Tournament or in K-State's first WBIT game, Ivona Scekic has been huge for K-State off the bench. She has seven points and has been one of the few players to slow down Cal center Sakima Walker, who has 20 points so far.

An interesting note from the Cal media guide: junior Lulu Twidale leads the country in made 3s since January 1. She led the ACC in 3s made with 90. She already has one midway through the first quarter.

“Most of us can evaluate talent — the question is, does that talent fit together? That’s the missing link for a lot of programs out there." Casey Alexander consistently built one of the country's most efficient offenses at Belmont. Here's how ⬇️ themercury.com/k_state_sports…
