@factpostnews Never mind the *buying* industry, the cost of materials is going to screw over the construction industry, which will screw over owners and their insurance policies. My home insurance policy DOUBLED from last year, due in part to these tariffs. Costly to fix = costly to insure.

Fox: The tariffs, 10% for lumber, 25% for cabinets, vanities, upholstered furniture. On January 1st, the tariff for cabinets and vanities increase to 50%, all the rest of the furniture to 30%. The cost of building materials has increased 34%. There is a concern that this is not going to be great for the home buying industry
