Both the DFS and ESIA are currently underway and on track for completion by the end of 2026. Banio also shows lower operating expenditures, including transport to the nearest port, when compared to its peers. Contributing factors include: • Low-cost solution mining • Proven processing technology • Strategic location directly on the Atlantic Coast Solution mining offers distinct advantages over conventional underground mining methods, as employed at projects such as Brazil Potash's Autazes. These include: • Lower upfront and sustaining capital expenditures • Reduced operating costs • Smaller surface footprint and more environmentally friendly profile (with minimal tailings/waste storage and reduced subsidence risk) • Proven application at established operations in Canada (e.g., K+S Bethune mine) and Germany In contrast, conventional underground mining can involve higher capital intensity, greater surface disturbance, and additional complexities such as permitting in sensitive areas and Indigenous community considerations. These same advantages support our projected OPEX of approximately US$61/t gMOP and strong logistics to key markets such as Brazil.
