this is so horrible. my heart goes out to students whose academic careers are now in jeopardy because exam boards assume they can't possibly succeed based on what people like them achieved in the past.

Here it is. Poorest pupils Higher pass rate reduced by 15.2% between teacher estimate and statistical moderation. Richest pupils rate reduced by just 6.9%.
