I am biased, but it's hard to see how Switzerland 🇨🇭 isn't number one. With over 65,000 km of meticulously maintained and signposted trails, highly developed infrastructure of trains, buses, and cable cars to connect it all, and views like this 👇, it will always be the best for me!

This is a solid observation. Applies more or less to Luzern and Zug too. Expensive yes, but you have hundreds of trails like the one below that can be done as day hikes - this aspect alone makes it 💯

Question for my fellow Swiss hikers and nature enthusiasts:
With longer and warmer summers, trends show an increase in ticks, which are disease vectors. Beyond normal preventative measures, has anyone received the vaccine for Tick Borne Encephalitis? Pretty rare to get this deases severely, but can be devastating for those who do. The vaccine is recommended by the Swiss health authorities. Thoughts and opinions? 🇨🇭
