Evander Holyfield and George Foreman grace the cover of Sports Illustrated on April 29, 1991. Younger boxing fans most likely don't recall an era in which boxing played a large role in the national sports discussion but, once upon a time, it was a huge part of almost all American men's sports conversations up until the late 20th century. (Please correct me if I'm mistaken on any of the following) Floyd Mayweather Jr., in 2015, is the last active (male) boxer to appear on the cover of SI. The legendary Muhammad Ali, who died in June of 2016 at 74, appeared on the Sports Illustrated cover for the 40th time that week. Between 1980 and 1997, there were 45 SI covers that featured professional boxers. Between 1998 and 2010, guess how many boxers graced it's cover? Two, on one cover. (Mayweather-De La Hoya) Rocky Marciano was the first Heavyweight Titlist (1955) to appear on the cover. Both Floyd Patterson and Sonny Liston made it onto five covers. Ingemar Johannson was featured on three. Joe Frazier made it on to eight. Leon and Michael Spinks were each on two covers (Three for Michael if you include his 175-lbs. reign). Larry Holmes made five covers and Mike Tyson was on twelve covers. Seven for Evander Holyfield. The Heavyweight Championship has been so ignored by SI that Ali, in that 2016 issue, remains the last holder of the title, 38 years after regaining it from Leon Spinks, to appear on it's cover. Holyfield, correct me if I'm wrong (might be Lewis), is the last reigning Heavyweight Titlist to appear on the cover.

@DanRafael1 and ref missed second knockdown, when Kelly went down by a jab to body. It was as clearly a knockdown. That did not hurt Kelly but it was a knockdown. Would have made this fight officially a draw.
