It would be absurd, were it not so predictable, that the official Covid Evaluation process under Professor Anne Scott - a specialist in medical ethics - is being prevented from engaging with questions of clinical and ethical scrutiny. Just as unsurprising is the degree to which the media avoids those same issues, given the central role it played in legitimizing the very ethical violations in question. Anniversaries invite reflection…but their value depends on whether there is a willingness to confront uncomfortable truths. Next year, on 19 August 2027, the Nuremberg code will be 80.
