Dean Huijsen is one player who's also doing well under Arbeloa. His passing was always good, but what I like more is his off the ball movement.

La primera mitad de Tchouaméni en el Brasil / Francia es un escándalo. Está jugando a un altísimo nivel.

Chema Andrés does similar things to Rodri. Anticipation, proactive, clean way of tackling (to retain the ball), reads the situation well to mop up loose and second balls, aerial threat offensively & defensively. Plays from first-time touches, plays with disguise, scanning ability is elite, pausa, controls the rhythm, never hides from the ball, always a passing option, smart off-ball movements down the channels, can play as #8, I've seen him ping passes similarly to Rodri to players running beyond.

There is a work in progress in terms of how Alvaro Arbeloa tries to instill the three connections. It was clear against Atlético Madrid. Triangle at the base: provides buildup and rest defense. Triangle on the left: Vini Jr holds the width, Fran Garcia runs beyond to stretch, and Guler breaks down the lines. Triangle on the right has different profiles from the left side. There isn't a 1v1 specialist like Vini Jr, but Carvajal and Valverde are good outlets for a "beyond" and "around" option. A player in the middle (below Valverde, most of the time, was Brahim Diaz) has the license to roam and interpret situations to decide his next actions.

He is so good under pressure. Will be really cool to see him in 5 years. The experience will polish some of his mistakes but there is no denying he has something special

OFFICIAL: Valverde will serve a one-game suspension after the red card he saw in the Derby. He will miss the upcoming game against Mallorca.
