It has come to our notice that certain individuals and groups are creating, sharing, and circulating unverified and provocative content on social media platforms. Such posts contain serious allegations and have the potential to incite communal tension, disturb public order, and adversely affect social harmony. The dissemination of unauthorised and unverified information may lead to misunderstandings, spread misinformation, and foster enmity between different communities. Members of the public are, therefore, strongly advised not to believe, share, or forward rumours or unverified content and to exercise caution while engaging with information circulating on social media. Citizens are also urged to remain vigilant against false or misleading images, videos, and messages. The authenticity of any such content may be verified through the Central Control Room at 9485280419. It is reiterated that the creation, uploading, publication, sharing, or circulation of fake, misleading, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable content on social media platforms will invite strict legal action in accordance with the provisions of law.

On 22.06.2026, security forces arrested one Md. Wahidur Rahaman (35) of Kwakta, Bishnupur district, a/p Mantripukhri, Imphal East district from Minuthong under Porompat-PS, Imphal East district along with approximately 01 (one) Kg of suspected Brown Sugar.

On 23.06.2026, Manipur Police arrested three residents of Lilong Sambrukhong, Thoubal district along with 02 (two) soap cases of suspected Brown Sugar weighing approximately 80 grams: (i)Mrs. Sureiya alias Naha (37), (ii)Md. Tamijuddin alias Sanatomba alias Nahatomba (33), and (iii)Md. Sarafuddin alias Mamei (31).

On 22.06.2026, Manipur Police arrested an extortionist active cadre of SOREPA, one Yumnam Thoiba Meitei (57) of Moreh Bazar Ward No. 8, a/p Pravabati College Mayang Imphal Relief Camp from the Relief Camp he was staying.

Security forces continue to conduct search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas across districts. A total of 114 Nakas/Check points were installed in different districts of Manipur, both in the hills and the valley. Movement of 392 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-37 has been ensured. Strict security measures are taken up in all vulnerable locations and security convoy is provided in sensitive stretches in order to ensure free and safe movement of the vehicles.

On 23.06.2026, security forces arrested a s/s Sergeant Major of PREPAK (Red Army), one Kshetrimayum Frenston Singh alias Nanao alias Ithat (40) of Top Khongnang Makhong, Mayanglambam Lampak, Imphal East district from his locality under Porompat-PS.

On 22.06.2026, security forces arrested an active cadre of SOREPA from Mayang Imphal Maibam Mamang Leikai area under Mayang Imphal-PS, Imphal West district, one Yumnam Joyraj Singh alias Ibomcha (36) of Yumnam Huidrom Khunyai Leikai, Imphal West district.

Following the arrest of an active cadre of RPF/PLA, one Nongthongbam Ingo alias Krishna alias Yuhenba (51) of Shabungkok, Imphal East district earlier from Cuncolim, South Goa by Manipur Police with the assistance of Goa Police in connection with a FIR case registered at Lilong-PS, Thoubal district, the following were recovered from Chingdompok, Heirok Part II, Thoubal district on 22.06.2026: i.02 (two) INSAS Rifles, ii.09 (nine) INSAS Magazines, iii.02 (two) 9 mm Pistols, iv.163 (one hundred sixty three) ammunition rounds of different calibers.

On 22.06.2026, security forces arrested an active cadre of RPF/PLA, one Oinam Dhanaraj Singh @ Abung (29) of Leirongthel Pitra Yairipok, Nongpok Sekmai -PS, Thoubal district from Khumanlampak near ISBT, Imphal West. A Honda Activa scooter was seized from him.

On 21.06.2026, security forces arrested two extortionists active cadres of KCP (MFL) along with forty-eight donation cards from Thoubal bazar under Thoubal-PS: (i)Abujam Sumit Singh alias Tangbi (20) of Keishampat Thoudabhabok Leikai a/p Pheidinga, Imphal West district, and (ii)Makuchung Gangmei (23) of Khoupum Gahtao, Noney district.

Manipur Police, assisted by CAPFs and the Army/Assam Rifles have ensured peaceful conduct of NEET-UG 2026 examination in Imphal East, Imphal West, Chandel, and Churachandpur districts through extensive coordination and fail proof security arrangements

Based on specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence of armed militants, a joint operation was launched by Manipur Police, CRPF, RAF, COBRA, and the Army in the general areas of Leilon Vaiphei, Leilon Munlui, Molhoi, P. Moulding, Leilon Khunou, and surrounding areas on 20/06/2026. During the operation, an exchange of fire took place with suspected militants. The operation continued throughout 21st and 22nd June 2026, leading to the recovery of: i) 17 (Seventeen) Single/Double Barrel Guns; ii) 08 (Eight) weapons comprising 02 AK-47 rifles, 01 M4 Carbine, 02 SLRs, 01 SKS rifle, and 01 improvised sniper .303 rifle; iii) 11 (Eleven) SBL rifles; and iv) Assorted ammunition, communication equipment, and other war-like stores.

On 19.06.2026, Manipur Police arrested 02 (two) drug peddlers, both residents of Irong Chesaba, Mayai Leikai, Kakching district from Leishangthem Khong Manung area under Thoubal-PS, Thoubal district: i)MM Mustakim (24), and ii)Md Imtiyaz Ahmad (18). A Maruti Suzuki A-Star (MN-06LX-4506) and 540 gms of suspected Heroin/ Brown sugar were seized from the duo.

Various units of Manipur Police observed “International Yoga Day” today with enthusiasm and active participation under the theme “YOGA FOR HEALTHY AGEING”. The observance aims to promote Yoga as a way of life to achieve physical fitness, mental well-being and healthy lifestyle, underscoring its significance as an invaluable practice for achieving harmony between mind and body. Participants perform various Yogic postures, breathing exercises and meditation practices during the observance. Besides others, the units observing the event today include Manipur Police Training College, Pangei and Women -PS Senapati district.

On 20.06.2026, security forces arrested an extortionist active cadre of KCP (PWG), one Thangmangjam Naoba Singh alias Pamuba (31) of Mayang Langjing Tamang, Imphal West district from his residence under Lamsang-PS.

On 20.06.2026, Manipur Police arrested an active cadre of PREPAK, one Konjengbam Diliver Singh (27) alias Thembung of Lousangkhong Makha Leikai, Imphal East district from the vicinity of Imphal International Airport Exit Gate under Singjamei-PS, Imphal West district.

On 20.06.2026, security forces arrested one Khundrakpam Seitabahon Singh (47) alias Bon of Uripok Laikhurembi Leikai, Imphal West district, a/p Langol Leima Khullen Leikai, Imphal West district from his current locality under Lamphel-PS. Two .32 pistols, each with magazine, and an ammunition box containing fourteen rounds of .32 ammunition were seized from him.
