If you are relocating to Canada 🇨🇦 from Nigeria 🇳🇬 and don’t know which city to pick, let me save you the research. 🇨🇦 Toronto = 🇳🇬 Lagos. Same hustle. Same traffic on Don Valley Parkway. You didn’t relocate, you just changed currency. 🇨🇦 Ottawa = 🇳🇬 Abuja. Government jobs. Quiet life. People leave work at 5pm. Still can’t believe that’s legal. 🇨🇦 Vancouver = 🇳🇬 Port Harcourt. Beautiful. By the water. Everything is expensive and nobody is sorry about it. 🇨🇦 Calgary = 🇳🇬 Warri. Oil and gas. Tough people. No time for packaging. What you see is what you get. 🇨🇦 Brampton = 🇳🇬 Festac/Surulere. Every Nigerian knows someone there. The jollof, the churches, the hair salons. You will think you never left. 🇨🇦 Winnipeg = 🇳🇬 Kaduna. Overlooked. Affordable. Getting better quietly. Nobody talks about it enough. 🇨🇦 Montreal = 🇳🇬 Ibadan. Old soul. Rich culture. Speaks a different language and is very proud of that. You will adapt or struggle. 🇨🇦 Edmonton = 🇳🇬 Enugu. Solid. Underestimated. People work hard and say nothing about it. Which one did I get right and which one did I miss? 👇

Some of you will touch ₦20m for the first time and immediately rush to buy iPhone 16 Pro Max & plan vacation. Relax. Lock down 7 year govt bond @ 17% → ₦5.5m Buy stocks of good companies → ₦9m Put ₦3m into Money Market(or Equity) Funds Keep ₦2m and continuously flip commercial papers Use 500k for liquidity. Your life won’t be stressful again. School won’t teach you this. I just did.

Look at the shift in generations 🇳🇬 1990s Nigeria: • Finish from Unilag or OAU • NYSC straight after • Get bank job or oil company • Wear suit and tie every day • Salary lands on the 25th, steady • Marry by 23 • Rent small flat, plan to build house • 3–4 children, send them to private school • Retire peacefully, build mansion in village 2026 Nigeria: • Graduate with distinction, still job hunting • NYSC allowance disappears in 3 days • Learn crypto, forex, UI/UX, coding, mini importation at once • One laptop feeding entire family • CV everywhere, “we’ll get back to you” nowhere • Side hustle sponsoring main hustle • NEPA takes light during remote interview • Data subscription now part of survival budget • Bolt rides replaced by trekking + prayers • Relationship talks now start with “what do you do?” • People online looking rich, offline owing rent • ₦100k salary now sounds like pocket money in Lagos • Parents who trained 5 children with one income now watching 3 graduates struggle in one room apartment • Everybody shouting “soft life” with hard life behind the scenes • Your mate buys car from crypto today, market liquidates him tomorrow • Breakfast no longer emotional… it’s financial too The old generation thought success was stability. This generation just wants to breathe. We will survive and thrive....more

Someone introduced me to this app about a year ago, says it helps you access upcoming International conferences and workshops, and you can register for events. I haven't used it though, but she got the opportunity to travel✈️ through this so you can check it out and see.
