جب والدین کی عمر بڑھ جاتی ہے تو وہ اُس بیٹے یا بیٹی کی طرف زیادہ مائل ہوتے ہیں جو نرم مزاج، محبت کرنے والا، بردبار اور کشادہ دل ہو؛ جو اُن سے تنگ نہ ہو، اُن پر جھنجھلائے نہیں، اور جس سے وہ ناراض ہونے کا خوف محسوس نہ کریں، بلکہ جس پر وہ بے جھجھک بہت سا حق جتاسکیں۔ پھر وہ اپنی چھوٹی چھوٹی ضروریات، اپنے طبی معائنے کے اوقات طے کرنے، تقریبات میں ساتھ جانے، اور خاص ملاقاتوں میں رفاقت کے لیے اسی پر زیادہ بھروسا کرتے ہیں۔ یہ والدین کا وہ اطمینان ہے جو خریدا نہیں جا سکتا، بلکہ اللہ کی طرف سے اُس بیٹے یا بیٹی کے لیے ایک خاص عطیہ ہوتا ہے۔ پس خوش نصیب ہے وہ جسے اُس کے والدین نے اپنے سب بہن بھائیوں میں چن لیا، اور اپنی تھکن میں پناہ، اور اپنی ضرورت میں سہارا بنا لیا۔
