Today’s Supreme Court decision is an affront to Democracy and to the heroes who marched, bled, and died so that every American could have a voice. This nakedly partisan decision effectively denies Black and Brown communities the ability to challenge discriminatory redistricting maps. The court has handed a new instrument to partisan legislators who want to silence Black voters, Latino voters, and communities of color across the country. Republicans and their activists on the Supreme Court know that their policies are unpopular, and that their only ability to win is not at the ballot box, but by changing the rules. Congress must act. We must pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act without delay. The court has chosen to narrow the law; it is our job to restore it. Every American, regardless of race, zip code, or party registration deserves a fair shot at representation. This is not a partisan principle; it’s an American principle.

Trump is in our district today taking a "victory lap" but let's remember the facts. While Donald Trump promised to lower gas prices to $2, Nevadans are still facing prices over $5 at the pump. This isn’t just about numbers; it’s about our families struggling to make ends meet. What he does in Washington directly affects us here in Nevada. We need real solutions, not empty promises. The SAVE Act would make it harder for eligible Americans to cast a ballot — period. We should be strengthening our democracy, not restricting it.

I introduced the TIP Improvement Act because tipped workers deserve fairness — not gimmicks. If you earn tips, you should be able to keep more of what you earn. Period.

Trump called it an “emergency.” The Supreme Court called it unlawful. These illegal tariffs hit working people and small businesses with higher costs while Washington played politics. Tariffs are taxes. Illegal tariffs are illegal taxes. Nevada families paid the price. Small businesses paid the price. Refund the money.

Trump promised "No Taxes on Tips." We didn't get that. We got no taxes on SOME tips....& the bad thing is the tax relief for tipped workers expires in 2028, unlike the tax cuts for the wealthy. There is also a marriage penalty & the tax relief is caped. x.com/Culinary226/st…
