Good to visit Leghorn Road in #Harlesden and #KensalGreen to see the new street trees we recently worked with residents to bring to the street. The funding for these trees came from levies on developers, not your council tax. They can make a big difference to local air quality.

❗Important Notice for Park Users in #Harlesden and #KensalGreen❗ We are aware of reports from residents about suspected rat poison and contaminated meat being found in several local parks including Roundwood. It appears this has been placed deliberately to harm dogs. (1/3)

Residents on Connaught Road are frustrated about a fly tipping hotspot at the top of the street near Greenhill Park. We listened and have taken action. We have secured a new CCTV camera to be installed at the location to deter this criminal behaviour and catch the perpetrators.

Changes to the law can’t be retrospective and take away permission already granted. But new powers will be useful to block future applications.

In Parliament today the government confirmed it would be introducing Cumulative Impact Assessments (CIAs) for gambling. This will allow councils like Brent to manage the density of betting premises, enabling us to refuse new licenses in saturated areas. (6/7)
