It’s by far the worst rule I’ve seen in my life time and Dan Andrews made a rule where he wouldn’t let kids play in playgrounds for months so let that sink in

Original stand rule was bad. Coaches find ways to counter it. AFL add layers to stand rule to counter coaches. Here we are. Players and umpires confused. Ridiculous 50's sucking life out of games.

Might be the worst weekend ever for the stand rule. I’m a supporter of the rule itself, but all the 50s from players not knowing which one has to stand (cause the ump doesn’t name them) and ludicrously harsh protected area infringements are absolutely infuriating.

Anyone that complains about umpiring should spend a year in their local league officiating to appreciate how hard it is
