Yet another brilliant column from @matthewsyed. Most got this wrong. My father had a theory about Nurture vs Nature, long before I was born. But he DID NOT choose chess as a subject. I did, after an accidental discovery while searching for new toys in the house. I excelled at a young age math and chess. I was given a choice of which to pursue.
