According to journalists, researchers, and several Turkish media outlets, these campaigns often involve mass blocking, coordinated reporting, spam activity, repeated block-and-unblock tactics, and other forms of platform manipulation aimed at reducing the visibility of certain accounts. For a long time, many users believed they were isolated cases. However, investigations conducted by journalists and media organizations, with contributions from accounts such as @Abese_irca, have highlighted recurring patterns suggesting that coordinated actors may be exploiting weaknesses in X's systems to target influential Turkish accounts. I am personally affected by this situation. The reach of my publications appears abnormally low. My impressions have declined significantly, and I regularly lose followers despite analytics indicating audience growth and engagement. I have never received sanctions for violating X's rules, nor do I use my account for anything other than commenting on international affairs, sharing factual information, and providing geopolitical analysis. However, this issue goes far beyond my personal experience. The real concern is that coordinated reporting and blocking campaigns may be influencing visibility and moderation outcomes in ways that undermine genuine public debate. A large number of reports against an account does not necessarily mean that the account violates platform rules. In some cases, it may simply mean that the account expresses views that certain political groups dislike. For this reason, I respectfully believe that reporting systems, filtering mechanisms, and ranking algorithms should place greater emphasis on the quality and credibility of reports rather than their quantity alone. Organized campaigns should not be allowed to silence legitimate voices through coordinated activity. After years of experiencing what many users perceive as a form of hidden censorship, I felt compelled to bring this issue directly to your attention. I sincerely hope that X will continue improving its systems to better protect freedom of expression, platform integrity, and the diversity of viewpoints that make open discussion possible.
