Tricky trees is just a bit of a laugh as well but is also the historic nickname of the club which performed miracles under Brian Clough. Yes, that was a capitulation, it was a terrible performance whatever way you look at it. But hats off to Aston Villa. John McGinn was magnificent, immovable.. Ollie Watkins indomitable. I hope they go and win it. Great club representing the Midlands. And if you'd have told me after Rochdale, or Yeovil, or Sheffield United.. or even earlier this season, that Forest would reach a European Final, i'd have bitten your hand off. This club has come so far, and punched above their weight in so many ways, and should be proud of the journey they've been on. Not our day.. but Forest til we die, ey!

Brilliant to see Myles Lewis-Shelley reinventing himself and reinvigorated. Found himself at the bottom of the LB pecking order, but his quality is undeniable and he’s given Mikel Arteta another weapon in his Arsenal. Encouraging to see young English talent rising to the top. Future looks bright for such a young, versatile talent.

Viktor Gyokores has been brilliant tonight. Pulled about, scratched, kicked and not been given anything by the referee. But he’s fought, been aggressive and a complete & utter nuisance to this Atleti defence who couldn’t deal with him. Intelligent running, hard yards, yes - should have scored..but surely every Arsenal fan are convinced he’s worth £55m. 21 goals in all comps this season. Grown into the role and league. Champions League final. Peaking at the business end of the season.
