Kingston used a 9-0 1st qtr run to open up a 16-6 lead late in the opening period and then a 12-0 run to extend their lead to 34-14 late in the 2nd qtr. Maylee Tank hit a 3 to beat the 3rd qtr buzzer that started a 7-pt run to pull Deckerville within 45-34, but Kingston scored 8 straight to squash the comeback attempt and then ran off the final 2 minutes. Kingston wins 53-34.
Sr Spring Arbor signee Molly Walker (pictured, #11-l) hit a trio of 3s and slithered her way through traffic to finish off the drive to finish with a game-high 24 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Fr Vanessa Osborn (pictured, #10) also hit 3 3-pointers in adding 15 points. Walker and Osborn combined for 28 1st half points in propelling Kingston to a 34-15 halftime lead. Fr Talia Harrington led them in rebounding with 9, to go with 6 points, 3 blocked shots, and all 3 of Kingston's 1st half steals.
Soph Maylee Tank (pictured, #11-r) led Deckerville with 13 points. Sr Mya Garza added 9 points and 8 rebounds from the PG position, while sr Mid-Michigan Community College recruit Libby Tank added 8-&-7. Soph guard Allison Steeb led Deckerville with 9 rebounds.
