Compliance with this Standard becomes mandatory for MCS installers certified in accordance with MIS 3002 from 18 June 2026 (date of implementation).

Based on this figure, the estimated annual generation from the 369,203 MCS certified installations installed in 2025 could save up to 325,812,812 kg of carbon.

In 2025, we welcomed 1,118 installers to the MCS Installer Scheme. Total certified installers: •End 2024 - 5,250 •End 2025 - 5,617 That growth powered 369,203 MCS certified installations across the UK in 2025 🔗bit.ly/4rBPwHu

Neath Port Talbot led the way, recording a 54% rise in installations and climbing the rankings for both volume and uptake. Welsh local authorities continue to lead in terms of household uptake.

Installers will no longer be able to select or add these products to installation certificates after this date. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please contact the MCS Customer Support Helpdesk.

Installations using these products will be deemed compliant provided the installation certificate is issued before 10 August, and all other scheme requirements are met. Products covered by the grace period after then, will be removed from the MID and the MCS Product Directory.
