One way to celebrate today is to listen and learn from Native American stories and history. How has colonization played into rewriting and erasing Native stories? How can we change that?

Today, we want to ask - How did you learn about America's history? When did it "begin"? Whose stories are centered? Why do you think it is important to celebrate Indigenous People’s Day today and every day? How can we move towards a more inclusive & more Indigenous future?

On this #IndigenousPeoplesDay, let’s not forget that even reclaiming this day as Indigenous People’s Day instead of “Columbus Day” was not w/out fight and while 14 states & 130 cities R honoring today as #Indigenouspeoplesday the fight continues for the rest of the USA to adopt.

To date, 14 states, more than 130 cities, and growing numbers of school districts celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day in place of or in addition to Columbus Day. bit.ly/3rzXZ0I
