Healthcare shouldn’t feel like a transaction. Unfortunately, for many, it's quick visits, little connection, and more focus on systems than their real-life stories. @Gil_Bashe explores why this shift could cost us more than we realize: medika.life/how-transactio…

Trees aren’t just “nice to have” as scenery. They’re infrastructure. 🌳 As critical as stormwater pipes and power lines—and far too undervalued. @nicolegrubner explores how cities can rethink green space as essential systems, not decoration. Read more: medika.life/nature-as-infr…

From The Borrowed Mind... "When human emotion meets algorithmic fluency, something happens that I have started calling a loop of plausibility. AI produces language that feels emotionally correct, and we interpret that feeling as truth. We do not notice ourselves doing this. The feeling triggers trust, trust inhibits scrutiny, and the absence of scrutiny lets the next output arrive unchallenged. Each cycle tightens the loop." amazon.com/dp/B0GMJ77QSP #AI #LLMs #cognition

Good article from @Gil_Bashe but I keep coming back to the WTF question as I've seen a few of these setups for conference panel discussions in 2026. Were, and are, C-suite leaders asleep at the switch? Governance, organizational adoption and cultural barriers, impact on clinicial and patient flows, education of staff, cybersecurity, not being beholden to monopoloy or monoposony vendors, data readiness and cleanlienees, EXCUSE ME, but these are not new questions for any hospital, healthcare system, or regulatory agency. Boys and girls, this ain't your frist freakin' IT and healthtech rodeo! Have we not learned anything from half a century of legacy IT systems, the spotted history of EHRs, fixing for Y2K, botche migrations, and waves of legislation and data interoperability standards. The first question on any panel such as this should be ... what was your plan going into these pilots and eventual adoption and scaling, KNOWING all the aforementioned issues and experience from past AI and healthtech deployments. In COVID we learned valuable lessons ... manufacture at risk, prepare to deploy in advance, work in advance, or at worst, parellel to your pilot process on the aforementioned issues of governance et al. To govern in politics is to choose, not react. The same if true for leadership and administration. This should be the first and pointed question of an "accountabilty" discussion at @HIMSS on Wednesday! Poll the room on who was thinking ahead, putting policies in place, and living in the future. To quote from the article's conclusion ... - - - - - "It will be determined by whether the health community develops the discipline and ability required to translate innovation into systems that strengthen care, support clinicians and improve the health of the populations they serve. The real story of artificial intelligence in health is no longer about what machines can do. It is about how wisely the health sector chooses to use them." - - - - - Somebody call Bill Murray for a reboot of Groundhog Day! HT @medikalife. medika.life/from-ai-excite…

Next week at #HIMSS26, healthcare leaders from around the world will gather to explore what comes next for AI and digital health transformation. On Wednesday, March 11, Hal Wolf, President and CEO of HIMSS, will discuss how health systems can responsibly evaluate and deploy AI to drive measurable impact, from establishing clear criteria for selecting AI applications to implementing processes that reinforce values and minimize bias amid the rapid expansion of AI in healthcare. Hal will be joined by Ran Balicer of Clalit Health Services and Isaac Kohane of Harvard Medical School, with the discussion moderated by Gil Bashe of FINN Partners. If you’re headed to Vegas, we hope you’ll join the conversation. Get more details on this session: bit.ly/4r9fp0p
