I asked Reform MP Sarah Pochin, several times, if the newly elected Sefton councillor, who is accused of Holocaust denial, would face disciplinary action, she refused to answer. I worry that she avoided the question because they aren’t planning to take any action.

There were a lot of people at the UKIP religious rally in Liverpool yesterday claiming they were there to 'document the day', but it was clear that some were aligned with far-right narratives around migration, Islam and asylum seekers. I spoke to one person, Cozzy, who had travelled from Manchester to 'document' the event. When I mentioned that Jesus was a refugee, he didn’t seem to appreciate it and accused me of trying to “trap” him in the conversation. No trap. It was a bit of a pinch-me moment to see my name on a student reading list this week.
