Metallica's visit to Deutsche Bank Park for #M72Frankfurt allowed #AWMH to give back to two local nonprofit organizations doing amazing work in their community. Thanks to Live Nation and the #MetallicaFamily, Frankfurter Tafel and Frankfurter Verein will each receive €20.000. Frankfurter Tafel’s primary mission is to collect food that supermarkets, restaurants, wholesalers, and other food suppliers cannot sell but is still edible and safe, and to distribute it to those in need. The organization uses donations like ours to cover day-to-day operational costs, including operating vehicles, purchasing diesel, and paying for energy at cold storage facilities, among other things. Special thanks to the members of St. Germany, the local Metallica Fan Club Chapter, who donated their time for a shift at Frankfurter Tafel. The Frankfurter Verein was founded in 1910 and provides critical local services to nearly 4500 people in Frankfurt every day, across 50 facilities. The association cares for people who have complex problems and aims to strengthen the independence of unhoused people, people with mental health conditions, and women in crisis. Our donation enables Frankfurter Verein to support those women and their children with daily necessities and medical assistance.
