NON-OIL REVENUE NOW 80%+ GHANA IS DIVERSIFYING For years, Ghana depended heavily on oil money. That’s risky because oil prices go up and down. What’s changed? More than 80% of government revenue now comes from non-oil sources (taxes, duties, domestic revenue). Why this matters: • The economy is becoming more stable and less dependent on oil shocks • Government can plan better without relying on unpredictable oil income • It signals deeper, structural reforms not just quick fixes

GCB shares: GH¢6.37 → GH¢20.11 📈 That’s a 215% gain in ONE year. During the NPP era banks looked risky because of the financial inefficiency and cleanup. What changed under NDC • Govt borrowing pressure eased • Interest rates started falling • Liquidity returned to banks • Credit expanded (+56.8%)

GCBs loan book  grew by 56.8%.   This is Because the government stopped over-borrowing from local banks, leaving money for you and your business. Under heavy gov borrowing: Banks prefer “risk-free” T-bills over your SME.   NDC reduces domestic borrowing pressure → Liquidity stays in the system → Banks must find real customers   Look at the signals: • Deposits up 19.7% (GHS41.3B) • Loan book up to GHS16.39B • NPLs DOWN (15.1% → 10.3%)

@zoomafrika1 Your passion for African wellbeing and your own experiences reflect your deep understanding as someone who takes pride in their country. However, it’s surprising to see you speak dismissively about South Africans.
