I commend today's action by @FDICgov, @federalreserve and @USOCC to lower the onerous Basel III endgame bank capital requirements. The prior proposal disincentivized bank-affiliated brokers from servicing smaller customers. American farmers, ranchers and energy producers paid the price for this regulatory failure.

The Arizona Attorney General today filed criminal charges against one of our registered exchanges related to prediction markets. This is a jurisdictional dispute and entirely inappropriate as a criminal prosecution. The @CFTC is watching this closely and evaluating its options.

.@CFTC Chairman @ChairmanSelig on blockchain prediction markets: Today, we're taking action by coming out with some clear guidance that will help our exchanges self-certify contracts and have rulebooks. We're also going to be coming out later today with an advanced notice of proposed rule making. We intend to set clear rules of the road for this new asset class and these new markets.
