The world's double standards towards Gaza are utterly repulsive! - An Israeli child is killed, and the world uproars, yet over 10,000 Palestinian children are killed, and there's deafening silence! - Israel mistakenly executes three of its soldiers, and the world demands an immediate investigation. Meanwhile, the same army executes dozens of Palestinians daily without a word from this unjust world! - Hamas has dozens of captives, mostly soldiers, and the world everyday demands their release. Yet thousands of Palestinians have been imprisoned for years, and there are no calls. - The world supplies Israel with hundreds of weapon trucks while denying entry for water and milk to Gaza, letting two million Palestinians suffer in silence! - Israel kills two Palestinian Christian women in a church, and call for investigations pour in from Washington and Europe. Conversely, Israel destroys dozens of mosques with worshippers inside and burns hospitals, and Europe remains silent! This is a brutal, unjust world devoid of values and principles. I am ashamed to speak of the illusion of human rights !

A story of Olives and Cactus: “Wherever you see cactus, know there was a Palestinian village in that place ” . That’s what they tell you if you ever visit the West Bank. Israel has been removing, bulldozing , erasing villages and cities for decades to terraform the land . But the problem is , Cactus keeps growing back . No matter how they try to destroy the land and the soil and build their settlements , cactus keep coming back. A friend of mine just came back from there carrying a gift for me : Locally squeezed olive oil from a her village in the West Bank . “Forget the commercial stuff you buy from stores. We squeeze oil in our own villages.” They squeeze the olives on the stone mills, use clean dedicated straw bags to squeeze it on the extruding machines . Same process that has been done for 100,200, 400 maybe 600 years . As old as these trees. You take a product of the land , squeeze it to its limits and you get that pure green gold. A healing potion of life . “Just put some oil” is the answer for everything in Palestine. Hungry ? Add oil. A bit sick ? Rub oil. Want to feel better about the world? Oil as old as the earth is there for you. They are not just olive trees. They are family . They are there to feed you , heal you and take care of you. How can you uproot a member of the family and call this land yours ? I have no idea . The trees don’t agree with that . And cactus definitely don’t agree with that. Maybe we got it all wrong! Maybe olive trees are not just an extension of Palestinian heritage. Maybe, Palestinians themselves are an extension of the land . They are like the trees . You can beat them , you can pressure them , you can squeeze them and push them beyond any human limits. But they don’t die . Like crushed olives that produce green gold. And from death, a million lives will be born. And their pain will eventually be the healing potion for all of us. And if you try to uproot them , they won’t go away . You think they will. But they come back. Like cactus . To defy you , to stand up for you , take your abuse and prick you back. They are there , to stay . Forever

No squabble or argument is worth it; don't sacrifice your Hereafter for these pettiness. Avoid it and if you can’t, excuse yourself and walk away. Make peace with those you've offended or insulted.

Learn to ignore the behavior of toxic and irritating people. The truth is they are hurting; that’s why they choose to hurt others. They are full of fear and insecurity. Ignore the hate they spew. Respond with patience and love. Say a prayer for them.

The world is one big distraction. Ask the Almighty to keep us away from things which make us lose focus. Have the courage to say no. No more living to please people. Don’t worry about what others think, no more fighting battles that don’t matter. Time to get back on track.

Whatever you’re going through in life, pray. When you think you’re done, pray again. When the world is asleep, pray. Remember, prayer not only changes things, it changes people’s hearts and that in turn can change your circumstances. So pray for it, then prepare for it.

Find peace in whatever situation we’re facing right now. Constantly remind ourselves that things will never be perfect but we have a perfect Creator who will grant us peace way beyond our understanding. Trust His Divine Wisdom to restore order and balance to our lives.

O Allah! I seek refuge with You from miserliness; and seek refuge with You from cowardice; and seek refuge with You from being sent back to geriatric old age; and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of this world and seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave.

Do you often wonder if the Almighty hears your cries and pleas? Why is He taking so long to respond? We’ve wept, we’ve begged, cried our hearts out, but still He’s not answering. Why? Because He operates on His schedule, not yours. But remember, your patience is your Paradise!

Waiting on the Almighty is always worth it. Wait patiently. Don’t settle for anything less. He always has the best plan in store for you. Trust Him. Faith is forceful. Believe that it will happen. May be not today or tomorrow. But it will happen; eventually.
