A day after liftoff, Artemis II is now well on its way. Four astronauts are on a ten-day voyage around the moon and back, traveling deeper into space than any human has ever before. @IAmAmnaNawaz speaks to @milesobrien about what's happening now and what comes next.

I know I'm biased, but its moments like these when @cnn is so so good. A long (stressful) wait filled with a smart panel with former NASA astronauts, led by @Boris_Sanchez with our @milesobrien and @petemuntean has been informative, gracious and engaging. Bravo. #Artemis

The National Transportation Safety Board said it was likely a series of failures that led to the accident at LaGuardia Airport when an Air Canada jet struck a fire truck responding to a possible emergency with another plane. @milesobrien has more.

Revisiting one of the most haunting aviation stories I’ve ever covered: Japan Airlines Flight 123 — the deadliest single-aircraft crash in history. Part 1 of my series with Lars Perkins explores how a routine flight became an unimaginable tragedy — and the human stories inside it. #JAL123 #AviationSafety #BlackBox #AviationHistory Black Box Revisited: The Deadliest Single Plane Crash- Part 1, by @milesobrien open.substack.com/pub/milesobrie…

@xist8tial @SciGuySpace Actually, to be accurate, the point was New York to Paris or vice versa. It was all about winning the Orteig prize.

@SciGuySpace Alcock and Brown crossed the Atlantic in 1919. The point of Lindbergh's flight in 1927 was that it was solo.

@milesobrien It's a complicated topic. Lindberg was the world's first superstar, celebrity created by the media.

@milesobrien Of course, Lindbergh's historic flight was solo. Alcock and Brown did the first non-stop crossing, and there was NC-4, but multi-stop and other qualifiers.

The war in Iran and the spike in oil and gas prices are again highlighting the world’s dependence on fossil fuels. As demand on the U.S. electric grid continues to grow, the Trump administration has moved to roll back subsidies and incentives for some renewables. A new industry report finds solar installations fell 14% over the past year. @milesobrien has more.
