Traditional vs New✨⬅️✨ @MassDOT has retrofitted over 350 traditional left-turn signals to #FlashingYellowArrow since 2013. You'll see these typically placed over a left turn lane. A flashing yellow arrow means YIELD to oncoming traffic & pedestrians, then proceed with caution.

The flashing yellow arrow signal✨⬅️✨aims to replace the circular green indication for left turns at signalized intersections. When the arrow is flashing, drivers are allowed to turn only after YIELDING⚠️to all oncoming traffic and to any pedestrians in the crosswalk.
