People Magazine: Taylor Frankie Paul Accuses Ex Dakota Mortensen of Slamming Her Head into Dashboard of His Truck in New Filing. Taylor Frankie Paul filed a protective order on April 7 against her ex-partner Dakota Mortensen, outlining four separate incidents she alleges involved domestic abuse, including assault, harassment, and stalking. In the filing, Paul describes an incident on May 27, 2025, where she says the two got into a verbal argument at her home. She claims she asked Mortensen to leave, but he allegedly refused. During the escalation, Paul says she lost her footing and Mortensen allegedly kicked her while she was on the ground, leaving visible bruising that was documented in photos included with the filing. Another incident allegedly occurred on Feb. 14, 2026, which Paul describes as stalking behaviour. She claims Mortensen sent her a photo showing her initials tattooed inside his lip. In her sworn statement, she says this made her feel uncomfortable and that it reflected possessive behaviour, especially given her claims of prior abuse. Photos of the tattoo were also included in the court documents. A separate alleged incident on Feb. 22, 2026, states that Mortensen came to her home in the early morning hours while their child, Ever, was struggling with sleep at his home. Paul claims she had ended the relationship and repeatedly asked him to leave her residence, but he allegedly refused and stayed despite her requests. The most serious allegation described in the filing took place on Feb. 23, 2026. Paul claims Mortensen came to her home where three children were asleep, including their son. She says they went outside to avoid waking the children and then got into his vehicle. According to her account, Mortensen allegedly drove away despite her protests, and during an argument inside the vehicle, she claims he assaulted her by slamming her head against the dashboard and striking her knee and elbow. She describes immediate and intense pain and says bruising appeared afterward, with photos submitted as evidence. She also alleges that he later requested sex following the incident. The filing presents these claims as part of her request for legal protection, and the court will consider the allegations as part of the ongoing proceedings.
