Even if you don't support bip110, please at least run Bitcoin Knots, and consider using the optional "rejecttokens=1" parameter.
Running either a bip110 node or Bitcoin Knots is taking a stand for Bitcoin and saying that Bitcoin was created for monetary purposes.
It allows you to say that Bitcoin should not be used for non-financial data.
Bitcoin needs your help. Will you help?
ANTON@Anton__BTC
Just a reminder that BIP110 nodes (left image) continue to significantly reduce spam, despite Citrea and Opnet.

Bitcoin is more than an asset, it’s a tool for financial freedom.

@LukeDashjr @Kurtis_NZ @oomahq @CryptoJiven @dathon_ohm It’s confusing when you(@LukeDashjr) use certain parameters on your node stats when other services for defining node stats providers use different parameters- the broad confusion amongst full vs archival is an issue since nobody can agree on the parameter definitions accurately.
English

@LukeDashjr @Kurtis_NZ @oomahq @CryptoJiven @dathon_ohm I also ask as Im curious about defining the “node stats” & definition parameters from the different “node count” sources that all have very different outputs.
The baselines are blurry & clarity here would go far to make it easier for new entrants to understand better i think.

Updated chain growth vs projected storage improvement chart using more historic input data and better modelling. #bitcoin won't die.
Worst that will happen is near term people will have to upgrade their node hardware sooner than they hoped.

Bitcoin Core has no CEO, no board, no formal hierarchy.
But between 2019 and 2025, a small network of developers, funders, and institutions came to control who got in, who got funded, and what got merged.
I am working on a four-article series documenting how informal power over Bitcoin Core was built, exercised, and defended.
Article one scheduled to drop next week.
English

@LukeDashjr @Kurtis_NZ @oomahq @CryptoJiven @dathon_ohm What makes this the case- like, is it a clearly defined parameter or something since I’ve only ever heard that pruned nodes can’t re sync à full chain properly & that this makes them inferior. I share that sentiment- if the protocol can’t be independently synced full then 🙆🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ ?
English

@oomahq @Kurtis_NZ @LukeDashjr @CryptoJiven @dathon_ohm It’s a great presentation by @LukeDashjr
I have the opinion that both are a problem- as a user from à continent where data & bandwidth are both constraints, regardless.
We just don’t have the physical infrastructure luxury most western opinions are formed on in this context.
English

@Kurtis_NZ @LukeDashjr @moloBTC @CryptoJiven @dathon_ohm He means the bottleneck is bandwidth, not storage.

@Kurtis_NZ @LukeDashjr @dathon_ohm Ignoring the physical element of what happens on the physical hardware of a node or a miner is important consideration in my opinion- they play à role in decision making for operators and users. Lean chain starts with lean code and lean mindedness in the client protocol dev side.
English

@Kurtis_NZ @LukeDashjr @oomahq @CryptoJiven @dathon_ohm The phone example was a contextual example about how data/usage/storage is evolving in the broader tech ecosystem so if you’re referring to something specific that prohibits this from your perspective then please feel free to share it @LukeDashjr 🤙🏼
English

@Kurtis_NZ @LukeDashjr @oomahq @CryptoJiven @dathon_ohm Yes pls @LukeDashjr I’d also like to know why this context means “Im not ready to join the conversation” or something when pure data function element of running a node on a phone is completely within reach & that more full nodes definitely mean more security?

Bitcoin is anti-fragile. 💪
Node distribution is balancing as Knots gain ground on Core, and DATUM miners are 'step-by-step' reclaiming template autonomy to decentralize mining power.
The community's voice is shifting from 'a few' influencers to small but many 'high-signal' pleb accounts.
This is a necessary healing process. ⚕️
The future has never been brighter. 🚀🚀

@oomahq @CryptoJiven @moloBTC @LukeDashjr @dathon_ohm Of course. My analysis has been more to answer the question of "could bitcoin die of node centralisation soon if chain grows too fast?". It's a no-brainer it should be kept as small as possible. Nodes on phones wouldn't that be magic
